Interesting. For me, this image speaks of the contrast between the undisciplined, un-pruned, overgrown and inactive kind of ‘sitting’ Christianity (which Mic Duncan has described so passionately) on one hand, and a disciplined, pruned, grown and active kind of ‘running’ Christianity. Not only is our faith pruned and purified through enduring trials, but we also end up having a better perspective of the world, which appears in this picture to be mostly blocked!?
What is it that makes the place of rest and vision become a place where the resting is uncomfortable and the visioning is blocked by the very things that make that resting uncomfortable?
